Verizon To Open 800 Person Call Center In Lincoln,Nebraska

Verizon Communications is ready to break ground Monday for a call center that is expected to bring some 800 new jobs to Lincoln.
A new, $18 million office building will be constructed on the University of Nebraska technology park to house the Verizon operation.
The call center could be operating by October of 2007, the Lincoln Journal-Star reported.
Workers in other Verizon call centers receive year starting pay of some $27,000 to $28,000. Call centers typically field service requests and other business-related inquiries.
