1 & 1,a subsidiary of United Internet AG,a European web hosting company, announced its new data center. They will invest up to $9 million in the Lenexa Kansas location in 2006 and several million more in 2007. The data center will occupy 55,000 square feet at the College Crossing Business Park and will supply space for 40,000 servers. The center will open in 2007 according to chairman,Andreas Gauger.
